Haunted Pokemon? It’s more likely than you think.
Nov 25th
When working at the store, a friend of mine traded in a copy of Pokemon Red. Well, almost. He brought it in so I could test it, and upon doing so, we made a fantastic discover. See for yourself.

Yeah, and it’s still out there, in his hands, sucking up all kinds of digital evil.
Back? Doing my best!
Oct 13th
I know, I know. I’m an awful journalist! Not that I don’t have anything good to say, but seriously, I haven’t updated here in like 3 months. There’s a TON to talk about, and I want to get it down regular, but I am a busy man. Freshly single (but friends still), I’ve found myself with more time, but at the same time, a considerable amount less.
As you know, I’m running my own Video Game store which requires me to be there a million hours a week doing stuff, and when I’m NOT, I’m at home, streaming my show from the Datazone channel. Yeah, I know, it’s AMAZING, but it shouldn’t be an excuse to not be rocking Ravage daily. So, I will be doing my absolute best to work on keeping these updates regular, but if I can’t, please forgive me. It just gets worse as we get closer to the holiday season.
I have been playing a ton of games, however (well, kinda), and want to do reviews on all the stuff I’ve gone through since I stopped writing. That will include God of War 3, No More Heroes 2, Metroid: Other M, and many others. I’m wrapping up some impressions on Sonic 4 for the iPhone as well, and will do some comparisons between that and the console release.
So, again, thanks for your support and patience, and don’t forget to also visit Datazone, usually beginning at 9:30-10 PM MST.

Sep 14th
YUP September 13th, 2010 Super Mario turned 25 years old!!! (not to be confused with old mario) OH the countless hours I have spend running, jumping, ducking, spinning, flying! I hope we can spend another 25 years hanging out.. Maybe some day we can save the princess for good. (Damn woman is ALWAYS getting in trouble!)
For over two decades, Super Mario Bros. was the best-selling video game of all time, before being outsold by Wii Sports in 2009. Excluding Game Boy Advance and Virtual Console sales, the game has sold 40.241 million copies worldwide. It was largely responsible for the initial success of the Nintendo Entertainment System, as well as ending the two-year slump of console game sales in the United States after the video game crash of 1983. As one of Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka’s most influential early successes, it has inspired many clones, sequels, and spin-offs. Its theme music by Koji Kondo is recognized worldwide, even by those who have not played the game, and has been considered a representation for video game music in general.

Ever wish one of the best games of all time was bigger, longer, and harder? We wish everything could fit those three adjectives, but without proper channels, we’ll just have to settle for making sure that those who spend their time making brand new games out of games we know and love get the proper attention they deserve. When you love Mario World this much, you get a formula that is supreme level design created by gamers who want something more. Have a look.

So, my fun little Game of the Day questionnaire thing has taken a brief hiatus due to being terribly busy, but I will be updating shortly here for the 1 of you that read it. Hopefully you haven’t been waiting too long, but I assure you, there’s plenty more to come soon! Thank you for your patients (assuming you’re a doctor, of course)!

Aug 4th
OK so a modder (loveablechevy) created her own handheld system that plays BOTH nes and snes games! It looks freaking sweet! Much props got to her for spending 2 years in the development of something so cool. (I once tried my hand at modding, I tried to make a DOAT. I duct taped a dog and a cat together. Needless to say the owner wasn’t to happy, neither was the dog or the cat. I didn’t realize that so much hair would come off if you untaped them!) Anyway click on the more to see the video of this awesome machine working!

Aug 3rd
Well, one thing I REALLY used to be into was Japanese game design. Not to say that I don’t like it anymore, but I feel differently about Japan than I used to, but it doesn’t come from disliking it at all. I’ve just grown out of the charm of being obsessed with anything that Nippon could offer, from music, games, movies, and subtitles only to just letting it be there, and be good if it’s good, and bad if it’s bad, and it does offer plenty of both. However, in all times, the good is fun to recognize and the bad doesn’t need to weigh me down, so one of my favorite Japanese games is a little GBA gem that never got localized, but had a DS sequel that did. The DS game is amazing in it’s own right, but the GBA one felt much more complete and enjoyable to me. Welcome to Heaven.

The 30 Day Gamer Challenge – Day 2 – The most underrated game you’ve ever played
Aug 2nd
Oh, so here we go. A game I love that I’m sure most of the world wouldn’t look at, despite the fact that is shares a LOT more in common with some of the most popular games that are currently on market OR some classics of consoles past. The story behind this game is an odd one, but as an NES title, the story is the small dab of glue holding in place a fantastic game where you never say die.

So, a friend of mine sent me a list of these challenges to write out, and I figured what better way to spread news of my tastes and interests than through this comprehensive list? Let’s give this a shot for the next month (and end it on the note of Metroid: Other M coming out), and see what goodies come our way!
