All about Video games and table games… (maybe even sex games!)

Pardon the delay.

So, my fun little Game of the Day questionnaire thing has taken a brief hiatus due to being terribly busy, but I will be updating shortly here for the 1 of you that read it.  Hopefully you haven’t been waiting too long, but I assure you, there’s plenty more to come soon!  Thank you for your patients (assuming you’re a doctor, of course)!

The 30 Day Gamer Challenge – Day 3 – A game that makes you really happy

Well, one thing I REALLY used to be into was Japanese game design.  Not to say that I don’t like it anymore, but I feel differently about Japan than I used to, but it doesn’t come from disliking it at all.  I’ve just grown out of the charm of being obsessed with anything that Nippon could offer, from music, games, movies, and subtitles only to just letting it be there, and be good if it’s good, and bad if it’s bad, and it does offer plenty of both.  However, in all times, the good is fun to recognize and the bad doesn’t need to weigh me down, so one of my favorite Japanese games is a little GBA gem that never got localized, but had a DS sequel that did.  The DS game is amazing in it’s own right, but the GBA one felt much more complete and enjoyable to me.  Welcome to Heaven.

The 30 Day Gamer Challenge – Day 2 – The most underrated game you’ve ever played

Oh, so here we go.  A game I love that I’m sure most of the world wouldn’t look at, despite the fact that is shares a LOT more in common with some of the most popular games that are currently on market OR some classics of consoles past.  The story behind this game is an odd one, but as an NES title, the story is the small dab of glue holding in place a fantastic game where you never say die.

The 30 Day Gamer Challenge – Day 1 – Your current favorite game

So, a friend of mine sent me a list of these challenges to write out, and I figured what better way to spread news of my tastes and interests than through this comprehensive list? Let’s give this a shot for the next month (and end it on the note of Metroid: Other M coming out), and see what goodies come our way!

Street Fighter X Tekken footage! Are you excited?

Truth be told, I can’t stand Tekken. I only like a handful of characters and the animation in those games drives me absolutely batty. It’s gotten BETTER over the years, but transitioning inbetweens for the animation has never looked fluid for me, it’s always looked sloppy. So, I’m not a fan of the series, but with this fighting crossover announced, how do YOU feel? Any matchups you’re looking forward to?

Would you rather Capcom have fought in a different universe, or are you fine with this one? They’ve battled Marvel, SNK, Animation Company Tatsunoko and themselves, but who else could be a good contender? Way of the Warrior? Clay Fighter? Primal Rage? What about Mortal Kombat or even Dead or Alive? Who do YOU think would make the best matchup for the classic Street Fighter crew? If I had to choose, I’d be more down with DoA, as it was my favorite of the 3D fighting games. But let’s hear about YOUR dream fight!

More MvC 3? Yes please! New Characters Confirmed!

Well, today had a good surprise to wake up to, and that was largely due in part to Dr. Doom, Chun Li, Super Skrull, and Trish being confirmed for the Mega Mashup Fighter due out next year on PS3 and 360. Now, Trish is the only character I’m not terribly excited about, because I feel that the DMC series only needs rep from one person, which is Dante, and is already confirmed from previous trailers and gameplay footage. That’s ok, though, because as long as Rad Spencer gets in there, I don’t care about any other team but him and Morrigan! But enough talk, feast your eyes on the trailer below!
